First of all you need to flash your NetCenter with telnet enabled firmware from epias.

Next you have to install and configure the ipkg-package from mafe. A nice Howto can be found here:

We only need the libraries and have to create the given links from this package, but ipkg is nice to! For example I've installed the microperl-package from ipkg.openmss.org.

The ldd-script is really helpfull too! You should copy it to your NetCenter.

Next i've downloaded the twonky-music package for Maxtor Shared Storage Plus (http://www.twonkyvision.com) and run NASSetup.exe. You have to enter your telnet passwort with root user.

After install anything should be ready to launch twonky first time!

Open a telnet-connection to your NetCenter an type in:
#export LD_LIBRARY_PATH=/lib:/usr/lib:/opt/lib
#/shares/Main/__twonkyvision/twonkymusic

Now the musicserver should be running. You can check this with #ps.

To start twonkymusic every startup insert this two lines in your rc.start. I think this is "quick and dirty" - a startupscript should be better, but i'm a neebie in unix/linux and my linux-script-skills are really pure. I'm sorry for this!

Have much fun with twonkymusic and don't forget to license your twonky media server!

I'm sorry, i've forgot something important!

Before you launch the NASSetup.exe you have to edit the file "install.nas" - which is in the same directory as the NASSetup.exe.

Here are the changes:

ID=WD-NetCenter
USER=
PWD=
DIR=/shares/Main/__twonkyvision
RC=/shares/Main/__opt/etc/init.d/S99twonkyvision
REBOOT


Note! You have to leave the file in UNIX-Format! Use a Editor like notepad++

Without these changes the installer won't work because the folders on the NetCenter are different named!
